The Chuck Norris effect

Chuck NorrisIt’s been a while since I started this “Gugle Project” and sadly, I didn’t have enough time to develop it some more. Time is still a problem for me, but still, from time to time, I put some fun articles on the fun section of the site. The interesting part is that on this section, some fake facts about the allmighty Chuck Norris attracted the most traffic ever. Also, it is the most commented post with over 60 comments. So good old Chuck Norris still got it :)

I’ve touched the Air

Mac Book Air
The Mac Book Air that is, and I must tell you: It’s really small, but still pretty heavy I might say. At first look, it’s quite beautiful and incredible sexy with its curved edges, but after playing around a little bit with it, I realized that I can’t get use to it, not having a CD or DVD-ROM, don’t ask me why :). On the other hand, the new software addition with the MacBook Air which modifies to the Keyboard and Mouse preference pane to support the new multi-touch enabled trackpad it’s cool and neat. Finally, the other thing that impressed me was the display which is quite bright, and the colors are soooo natural.
Overall, MacBook Air it’s a nice piece of work, but i think that it’s more like a gadget rather than a useful equipment.

Internet Explorer 8 Beta

How time flies folks. Not so long ago I was talking about how much we will have to wait for the new version of Internet Exlorer and now…it seems that the first BETA of IE8 is out now. From what I can see, the new version will be fully compliant to CSS 2.1, will resolve all the Interoperability and compatibility problems, a built in Developer bar (which is standard in Firefox from some time) plus some other interesting stuff, like the fact that Internet Explorer 8 Developer Beta uses the Internet Explorer 8 standard mode layout engine by default, but, by clicking on the emulate Internet Explorer 7 button, users can choose when they use the strict mode which supports the Internet Explorer 7 compatible layout engine to retain compatibility with existing sites.
Overall, the new Internet Explorer 8 Beta looks like it’s finally learned something from Firefox, but i think that it will still remain a poor and ugly browser.
